To be honest I wouldn't want a 14 year old that I didn't know them or their
parents to babysit. I'd never pick a name off a flyer.
I don't think I'd be happy with my 14 year old going to babysit for people I
didn't know either.
I'd think of something else she could do-what about cleaning for your
friends?

I, on the other hand, was happy to hire kids I hadn't known before --
though the first few times I hired them it was with me at home.

And I babysat from the time I was about 11 or 12; by the time I was 14
it included jobs for folks my parents didn't know. My own kids mostly
babysat for people from church, but did have an occassional job for
folks we didn't know.
