Thanks all. I had my brain stuck on Pancakes and eggs and such but I
didn't want something that required to much cooking at the moment. We
don't have a big house and I could see it getting messy real quick. I
really like the ideas of muffins, fruit, bagels, sweets etc. And then
possibly a main dish that could be prepared ahead and warmed up like
the baked french toast idea.
The thing about stratas, baked french toast, and breakfast casseroles is
that you prepare them the night before, refrigerate them, and bake them the
day of the party. If you fully cook them and reheat them, egg-based dishes
tend not to be very good.
Good Point. I've been doing some searches. The problem is, there are
soooo many it's hard to know which one to choose. I'm thinking a
french toast dish and then maybe a egg/meat dish. Then some muffins,
fruit, pastries and drinks. MIL said she'd make something so I think
I'll ask her for muffins. I can buy the pastries and a fruit tray at
the grocers and then I just have to make the two dishes the night
before. Not to bad.
Thanks for all the suggestions,
Shelley
Have fun, and don't forget the cake!
