What surprised *me* about the valentines he received, is that they all

It was not typical in the Chicago area and was discouraged there.
Here in the New Orleans area, it is quite typical and most of the
stuff is candy.

New Orleans snacks tend toward really sweet junk food. Some of itI've only had King Cake once, when we had an employee who had recently

be sweet or less sweet, having them every day for 20 days until every

ds eats veggies - until tonight, that is, when he actually begged me to
make broccoli - and ate some!
My kids never had lunch at preschool unless they brought a bag lunch
to an extended lunch program.
pre-school, you have the option of keeping them there for lunch and
paying extra. But yes, they get lunch, which is very nice for me.
