We do not have cable and never let DS watch any TV other than PBS.
Also if we were ever watching a movie while he is around, if there is a
fight scene or other voilence, we immediately put TV off until DS is
away.

DS only watched Wiggles, Elmo, JoJo's Circus, Blues Clues at that age. When
he was in the room, there was rarely an adult show on, mostly because I
didn't watch much and the content of the things I enjoyed I felt was too
mature for him, although he did like American Idol. Still, he enjoyed
roughhousing, if there was anyone to roughhouse with. He normally didn't
have much opportunity. I just don't think it's in your child's nature and
I'd leave it be. There's nothing wrong with him that you need to correct.
