Do two year olds give up naps? She's never been a great sleeper, but
kids in all day kindergarten still take naps, isn't she too young to
stop?
When he was just about 2yo, my eldest went from one nap a day to
a nap every few days. So yes, 2yos do give up naps. I don't
know where they find these kindergarten kids who take naps, because
all of mine had stopped daytime sleeps by the time they started
school.
Half of mine had to be in morning kindergarten because they napped
each afternoon, and they really slept. I was the same as a kid.
OTOH, dd#2 started to give up her nap when she was about 3, and I did
as Marie did - I said I needed a nap and her sister needed a nap so
she had to lie down in bed for 15 minutes (measured by analog clock).
If she was still awake then, she could play quietly until her sister
and I woke up.
