My parents had me 10 mos after their marriage, never been on a vacation
or watched a movie without us kids and even now in their old age keep
worrying about the kids and keep saving money for the kids.
And they are so happily married. Of course it is another country
(India) and that could be the difference....

If it worked for them, great. If it works for you and your
husband, great. But stryped seems to feel that it is not
working for him and his wife.
