Book club for kids question...

I am trying to build up our home library and you know, books aren't cheap
anymore, especially if you want to buy a lot of titles! I think I paid
around $9 for Goodnight Moon. That's ok but I have a long list of books I'd
like to get. I know there are a lot of book clubs out there, such as a Dr.
Suess one, etc...where you get hardcovers and board books for good prices.
Are there any book clubs that have a wide selection for books up through
elemntary school level (from baby to school level)? I am interested in
things like Where the Sidewalk Ends, Harold and the Purple Crayon, The
Monster at the End of this Book, Guess How Much I Love You, and then things
older like Ghosts I Have Been, etc.
Any other recommended book club ideas welcome, even if it's not just what I
mentioned....TIA..
.
