The institution of Marriage is not always discriminatory by law. And
if like me, you consider marriage a committment made in front of god,
then there are many institutions that do in fact allow marriage of
homosexuals.
I do understand your point, I just see a difference.
FWIW I would more than happily forgo the civil ceremony in order to
make the point, if that makes a difference.
