Not as far as I know -- the only ones I've seen have been intact. The
traditional designs rely on the top and bottom points of the egg being intact.
Normally the eggs are hard-boiled, and eaten on Easter Sunday and after. My
Dad remembers playing something like conkers with them during the NEP -- tap
the eggs against each other and see whose cracks last.
