Thanks to everyone for answering :-)
My dd is in K this year and getting homework, too. We've been
following the "let her blow off steam" after school idea, as well.
I was interested in seeing how many others also follow that idea.
It's informative to read how other methods have been tried, and what
has, or hasn't worked, and why.
