My child is only in first grade so his homework only takes 10-15 minutes a
night. My involvment is part of the deal so we do it together. He reads to
me and pastes together one sentence in his sentence book.

We do it right after supper. It would be horrible for him to do it right
after school. He definately needs the down time and he likes to play
outside so that works best between afterschool and supper. The only
activity we have is tiger scouts though so our evenings aren't over run yet!
