Hey phil, this whole thing is being staged for guys like me and you,
a way to screw us out of savings and pensions.
The refunding of local taxes will be fun. Retirees usually have the
sense to pay off debt, now muni taxes may exceed mort pays.
Thank Dubya for this fiasco.
I hear bush is back to drinking and coking. Hellow, columbia free
tyrade deal.
Muni taxes will rise dramatically, driving many to sell and move to
smaller digs or Bermuda...this will accelerate as the USD decimates
their fixed incomes leaving them no other choice...many of the
remainder will move into their cars or campers... what remains of
the work force, unskilled or working competition with china for miinum
wage do not qualify to pay income tax, but they draw hard on municipal
services non the less...and they will no longer be buying half million
dollar homes and Escalades... no money.
The state of calif is in dire straights once again, after just passing
a 'viable' budget a mere two weeks ago...it tried to hit the feds up
for 7 billion.. refused... now they say they can keep paying bills
only though the end of Oct...until revenue begins to come in again in
January... and this as sales and income tax income goes into a
steep nose dive... attempts to collect from businesses already on the
brink is just driving them out of state or into bankrupcy.
(govt theory on that btw, seen on many licensing tests, is that those
who fail to pay their taxes will be driven out of business by state
collectors, the work then "since it has to be done by someone" will
be done by someone paying taxes. thats the notion. Leaves one
breathless doesnt it. I suggest these take a look at Bangladesh or
for that matter parts of their own city war zones and then tell us
"the work will get done by someone" )
there is no way in hell the G7 will bail any of this out..... Id
suspect they are meeting in order to laugh their asses off at Bernie
our G-1 guy behind his back... and plan ways to avoid the train wreck
themselves... the G20 are largely even or flush contrary to the spin
we get from our govt, although they will be hurt by the
collapse...these are not about to throw money at it.
... Many states are on the brink now, and more cities..some already in
bankrupcy, 3 in the local SF bay area, Richmond, Oakland and the
already bankrupt Valejo.... and this mess is just starting to roll...
the kiddies haven't blown off their second mortgage money yet.
