PS:
Now if we could only get the soft drink makers to start using glass again instead of plastic.
As well as landry detergent makers using cardboard instead of plastic.
Have you been down those laundry detergent ailes lately?
3/4 plastic bottles now holding heavy, watered down liquid detergent.

Good for Walmart. Sound like they are helping to make things much more efficient and saving valuable resources. When things get tough the tough get tougher. There is a tremendous amount of wasted effort and energy going on that we all could do better minimizing.

Wal-Mart puts the squeeze on food costs.
The retailer is using its clout with vendors to hold onto its everyday low prices.
(Fortune Magazine) -- With gas, grain, and dairy prices exploding, you'd think the biggest seller of corn flakes and Cocoa Puffs would be getting hit by rising food costs. But Wal-Mart has temporarily rolled back prices on hundreds of food items by as much as 30% this year. How? By pressuring vendors to take costs out of the supply chain.
