I don't need any government number to tell me things are really
slowing down. My customers come from State and Local Government and
also the private sector. Over the past 3 months business is down about
20% compared to this time last year. In fact I've not seen it this bad
in about 10 years. It's also now taking a lot longer to get paid and
for the first time in a long time I'm having supplier calling me to
tell me how bad things are and to please buy their crap(at a price
increase).

What sector are you in? �A friend of mine that I talked to last week
said his retail business is still doing very well.

Maybe I'll start selling shoe next.

We sell and service large security, CATV and communication systems to
schools, nursing homes, prisons and others. Some of the work we do is
for government by public bid, for now we stopped that. Companies are
bidding so low that I can't take a chance trying to match them, they
are really hungry right now, I'll let them take the job and go belly
up.
