Oh, I read them (but more importantly, the replies to them),
and I think "just another resounding victory for the dudes in
alt.syntax.tactical"...I thought you'd hit your peak when you
posted a 17-word sentence with the word "y'all" in it 15 times,
but the "moonshine" posts topped even that...great work!!!

Bill... hmmm... interesting reading, this alt.syntax.tactical, as i
didn't know this sort of thing existed... thanks. Let's see, that
last sentence of my response to "Bob", has, 73 words... oh my. Bill,
let me say, that i do like how y'all have such a formal name, "William
Ernest Reid", fer which i have this image of a gentleman, dressed in a
smartly pressed new vested suit, just sooo distinguished looking, that
when y'all walk into a room, everyone's eyes gaze over to y'all and
follow every move that ya make, looking to see who ya glance to,
perhaps a woman of whom y'all had a secret afair with, or perhaps to
an up and coming understudy that y'all check to make sure that they
are indeed watching how y'all move about, sooo that they can
eventually be as successful of a businessman as y'all are, or perhaps
it's to another business opportunity representative, fer which we all
set about with gossip, wonderin just what this new business venture
might be. ...hmmm, 139 words, i out did myself. The point is, Bill,
and i do like that name William, as it's a name with strength... is
that i write the way that i speak... in phrases... sorry if that
annoys ya, please forgive me. Perhaps we should blame all this on
MSFT and CSCO, 2 stocks that i've made more money than i can shake a
stick at with, in that microsoft has been the force behind the
establishment that has expanded the internet beyond what the internet
was first developed to do, then cisco, with its networking equipment,
made it possible for us to be posting, sooo that we could reach people
on the other side of the world, instantly... simply amazing, isn't
it. When i first started investing, the only research that i could
muster was from the local library newspapers and limited reference
"books", as there was nooo internet, nooo inter library loans of
books, the television news was limited in scope, yet the radio did
provide some up to date stock exchange information... and who relies
on radio today? Sooo, i had to learn good investing practices, to be
able to be identify good potential investments... i had to learn
accounting and finance early in life, then sound marketing practices
too, of which back then, marketing as we know it today, didn't even
exist. Yet with the internet, anyone who can get onto the internet,
can learn... can learn how to do it well. Our youth, my sons, have
sooo many more advantages than what i had in my youth... i'm, well,
let's say, still 39... and counting, yet y'all won't count, will ya.
And then when i first acquired XON / XOM today, i was convinced to
keep it and just re-invest the dividends, for which every stock since
has risen from... and i still have those shares, plus added shares
since then, everytime selling a growth stock, taking half of the after
tax profit and buying more shares of exxon... it's simply amazing what
one can do investing in the stock market! Ramblin again... good
