nope. bush just announced that we would use the midwest strategic oil
reverve of 65 million barrels if any were needed. the pipeline that
went down carries about 400,000 barrels a day and is expected to be
repaired in 1 to 3 days.
but in a related note, the story made an impression on the nigerian oil
minister and he said if people are going to panic over such a small
deal, then OPEC should increase production and move the oil prices down.
