Rather have a poll which one is the preferred among traders?
I realize that some folks are just too smart to bother with it. ;-)
I use just 3 MSN custom screens-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Criteria on one is:
Previous days closing price <=50 day moving average
Last price >= 50 day moving average*1.05
Last volume >= avg daily vol last 2 weeks*3
Last price >=1
Last Price <=15
Avg daily volume last month >=100000
Exchange = NASDAQ
Then one uses all the same parameters using New Low in place of 50 day moving average and then another uses all the same parameters using New High in place of 50 day moving average.
I sell at 3% if made on the first day and then the ask turn down, and 5% on the second day if ask turn down and then any thing above that after the second day when the ask turns down. I'm very happy with 5% per month but usually do much better than that. I bail out on a 7% loss.

Thank YOU, JC! That was precisely what I had on my mind. :-)
And it's a good strategy, IMO (that could be modified if so desired).
