I would love to see this stock go up 1-penny... Young Bob has take so
much
crap from everyone and done it in good humor.. It would be fitting that
the
rookie busts out... <smile> Most rookies take themselves too serious..
and
too many of the 'old and wise' are just walking opinions... Can you
remember when you were young..? I know that had to be a very long-long
time
ago <smile> b-cus I know your older than I am...and I am no spring
chicken.
<sad> Run the stops..pushing the limit.. high-hopes and wide eyed
enthusiasm... abet usually 'too' enthusiastic.. But it is healthy and a
good
reminder to all of us, "less than over the hill, but watching the sun
come
down" that you have to take each day as a gift .. and sometimes happiness
is
just being enthusiastic about each day regardless of the consequences ..
Go Bob GO!!
Don't you think he would gladly be your slave forever if you could get
him out EVEN now???
I remember buying a penny-ninny and watching it soar and then dive.. allot
like a rocket... falling much faster than it shot up. Learned a lot of
lessons the first 2-years of trading... I remember loosing $15K in a 15
minute period on my most reckless trade. Some China stock that soared
3-days in a row and I decided to do a quick in and out on that 4th day.. No
sooner had I bought it ...and it fell hard from the sky... literally fell
out of the air. I was both demoralized and horrified at the same time
realizing just how fast you could loose money being reckless..
I asked for suggestions and several of the regulars suggested I just take a
few days off and head to the beach and relax.. Get focused, but not to give
up.. ( this was 2001-2002) I really appreciated the advice I got from the
group.. No one tore into my foolishness.. I suspect they knew my pain...
I took the week off and started to focus and do the work.. I stopped being
an idiot is the best way to put it. I came back and really started to pay
attention.. I will never forget the feeling if fear as I tried to get out
of a falling position in a stock I knew nothing about... other than it had
soared for the previous days... I went for it on what was pure gambler
instinct.. Loosing my ass in seconds... Walking on the beach for a day
considering if I was doing the right thing in trading at all... I had taken
my account away from a broker who was not making me any money.. ( though no
one was making large money in 2001-2002 my broker did have me in TSO at
about $2.50 a share.. ) I sold it off since it was doing nothing... I wanted
action...
My advice to rookies ( and I am still a rookie too) is this: If you want
action, go to LasVegas or South Shore, Lake Tahoe. Harrah's will comp you a
suite on the 16th floor and dinners at the Summit Room if you deposit $25K
in the house bank when you arrive... Live large for a few days of action..
Collect whatever winnings or losses you have left after those few days...
Tip well.. Always tip well.. everyone... including the valet and
housekeeping staff.. and head home. You will remember it forever.. If
action is what your looking for... this is the best way to get it. The
Ladies, Craps, 21, Baccarat, whatever your looking for. All the freebies
Harrah's offers is there and you will get it if you ask for it... Win or
loose your going to have a good time...You'll remember it and stretch the
tales to fit.. for years... But playing the market is for real and there
is little luck in playing it and when you gamble in the market there are no
free suites, no hookers, no excitement, no free dinners, and no high rolling
excitement. Just my 2-cents...
To those of you who took time to consoled me back then.. I will always
remember your words and advice... Thanks.
I'm still standing....
