Well, if someone helps me with the first step, I'll figure out the

Amamba the first 10 million, as Oprah Winfrey has said, is always the
toughest. After that it's a breeze. All the rich people I've talked
to say the same thing. I myself have stalled after my first million,
but I'm still trying.

Seriously though - GLD I think its a bit risky, as it is just a
commodity. OTOH if USD flops and GLD stays the same you win, in the
end.

Check out the Gold backed money market CD at Everbank.com It's FDIC
insured. The way it works is this: if gold goes up in price (the
next five years, taking the average price for gold twice a year), you
win the difference in price. If gold goes down in price, you get your
money back (no interest however). So it's almost "a heads I win,
tails you lose", "win-win" proposition. Offer ends this month. I
think the denomination is $10k and above.

However, how would USD trouble influence the stock market ? I.e. if
you invest in Fortune 500 and they make money worldwide, would your
investment outpace inflation (guess it should) ?- Hide quoted text -

Yeah, that's right. But only if you buy 'multinationals' like KO or
even XOM, and it assumes they are not hedging the dollar with
derivatives. But the biggest problem is that it's hard to predict how
inflation will affect stocks--historically inflation is bad for
stocks, though nobody really knows why (in theory it shouldn't
matter).

Amamba you really seem to have a head for business. Ever considered B-
school?
