If you count nursing homes, then Extendicare. (EXE.UN on the TSX).
There must be some others. Extendicare recently converted
from a corporation to a trust structure, even though it
was after the change in Canadian tax policy. According to
the news announcement, this was done so that they would
be valued like their competion which were almost all REITs.
I don't own Extendicare, I used to own some Extendicare preferreds,
but as part of the REIT conversion those were all bought back.
