It's "...bought some California grass"
but jojoba, although native to Arizona, New Mexico, California and Baja California, is not a grass. It is a plant whose fruit, the jojoba bean, contains an oil fraction which can be used for Diesel fuel as well as for high quality lubricants. In fact it has the same chemical composition as whale oil.
The advantage jojoba oil has over petroleum based fuels is that jojoba does not contain sulfur and we certainly do not need a Captain Ahab to harvest jojoba.
