Private placement is very common in Canada and is a fast and cheap way
for a smaller company to raise money. I think this was sold only to
Canadian investors because of the prospectus. For me to buy it, minimum
purchase is $100,000 and the stock is restricted from sale for 4
months. But it'll be a share with wts and slightly below market price
and no commission charges because I'm getting treasury shares directly
from the company.
Now, if the market drops in the next 4 months, you would not be able to
sell it and that's the risk you'll take for getting it 10% cheaper.
