Interesting.
If not random then some order applies.
If not efficient then inefficient or less than efficient ie wasteful.
Just because something is not random doesn't mean it's efficient, and
just because something produces waste does not mean it's random.
Random and efficient are intellectual constructs, nothing in nature
fits perfectly into either intellectually idealized catagory,
particularly people.
However, events can not be predicted by those with no or little event
control.
Can't control the sun and yet I know there's a better than average
chance it will set in the west tonight. I can predict plenty of things
without being able to control them, particularly if I observe and study
them for any length of time. Any human can to one degree or another.
Social psych and statistical sociology can predict the actions of large
groups of people regularly and with an amazing degree of accuracy.
Scientists already know this, it's not even a debated question anymore.
I know that I can not know. Like any good hunter, I try to identify
the weak .. those with poor chances for strong upsides.
Me too.
