Ameritrade Financial Services - AFS forced me to call immediately
after every buy to specify a non-Reg T ( sans margin ) transaction.
Their promotion specified a "sweep" account. They also had a bad
customer attitude. Canceled 3 accounts.
Scottrade wanted my IRA business. I said I wanted to trade options.
They said "our lawyers won't let us trade any options in an IRA except
Covered Calls". So I ask about selling Puts which is the same and got
the same "lawyer" answer. Nice guy to talk to and i do like their
scottrader java but I do not play by their rules.
Of your 2 choices I would pick Scott based on their platform but not
if I wanted to also trade options. That's a double down for AFS.
