I lightened up on my Japan investment this year due to its' sluggishness -
still have a lot in it. Like you, IMO it will pick up shortly - will likely
add some $ back in if it looks like a turnaround. S. Korea and Latin
America remain on fire. Even though one may currently be buying Japan at a
bottom, IMO it's tough to pick such, especially in the overseas markets.
Thus, I'll wait and ride the upward wave.

I keep getting bombarded with email about Japan. The biggest question is
why am I so bullish about Japan? Actually, as of today, my Japan holding
has given the least returns this year. In fact, it is pulling my portfolio
down. But I am most bullish about Japan, even more than Gold and Latin
America. I feel both Gold and Latin America have some chances of pulling
back because the basis of their returns is not very fundamentally a strong
basis. But Japan to me is another discussion.
The fundamentals are strong for Japan. Their reforms are working, their
banks are stronger and more autonomous and their business growth is in the
right direction. So, Japan this year is another discussion.
