I'm about to turn professional here in the UK, and wondered if I could
get a P visa to work within in the US. There are lot of chances for me
to become a teaching pro in FL, but also play on some mini-tours.
I believe the O visa is for for the David Beckhams of this world
(international athletes) but wondered if it was feasible for me to get
the P????
No offense intended, mate, but it sounds like you're desperate to get
the US and are grasping at anything. You've talked about E1, E2, J1,
and now P1... Nobody here knows enough about your personal
circumstances and talents to do more than guess. Have you asked an
immigration lawyer any of these questions? If not, tell your life's
story to an experienced lawyer and let him lay out the possibilities for
you. BTW, P1 is for participation at a specific event. Even if you had
one, I doubt it would cover working as a club pro, but check with that
lawyer to be sure.
