Lesbian hoping to move to US for one year with USC partner

Hello, I have been reading this forum for the past hour and I understand
that this might be extremely difficult but it's worth a try. My partner
is going back to Atlanta for the final year of Law school in August. I
will have finished my Masters degree in Art by then so I am hoping to
spend the year there with her. After that we can come back here (to the
UK) together without any problems. Just wondering if anyone had any
ideas? Will it be easier for me to find a job when I'm out there on the
90 day travel visa? Is it just 90 days a year?
Thank you so much.
Eleanor.
