I am a green card holder and I am interested in marrying a doctor from
outside U.S. Since for a GC holder it is very difficult to get a
spouse
visa, I want to find out how easy/difficult it is for her to come to
U.S
based on work visa
From www.ecfmg.org I understand one has to go through the process of
taking
exams and get certified. However, does anyone know:
What is the immigration process for her to:
1) Come to U.S to take the exam
2) Find a job and get a valid work visa

The option you should be looking at is the H-1B.
There is a cap on the H-1B right now, but not if the individual is
coming to work at a not for profit hospital that is associated with a
university or college.
Among other H-1B requirements, the individual must show proof of:
** Certification from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical
Graduates as well as his United States Medical Licensing Examination
Score Report (Steps 1, 2 and 3), evidencing s/he has passed this
examination and possesses required certification for the United States.
** Depending on the state, show that s/he is fully eligible and
qualified to obtain a Limited Permit to practice medicine and that
he will be obtaining this permit prior to his proposed start date
of the H-1B.
** Bachelor of Medicine degree evidencing his possession of an M.D.
degree and qualification as a Physician.
Will also need to show proof of the non-profit status of hospital and
affiliation with university or college.
