Firstly, wanted to know how long H-1s are taking to process at the moment, I
have heard 3 to 6 months. I am presuming that I have applied early enough
that the 65k havent run out yet. Is there any way to know this?
here --> http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/services/tempbenefits/cap.htm
as of 5/19/2006, 42,876 has been filed out of the 58,200 cap
(Chile/Sing already excluded).. that's ~16,000 to go, and not even two
months from the start of the filing period. wow. it's going faster than
last year! :O
there's a lot more room in the advanced degree though. ~15,000 more
open petition slots.
...... hmmmm.... i give the cap until end of June, at the rate it's
going.
$0.02
