http://uscis.gov/graphics/services/residency/family.htm and you will
find all the information you need in your case. Yours sounds like a
pretty straightforward case where your USC wife can sponsor you for a
green card. You will not have to wait for a visa number to be
available but the overall process can take up to a year.

Sounds like she has Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK, so you can
file everything through the US Consulate in London.

By far the quickest route, a couple of months or so.

If she has not done so, she should get her British Citizenship while she
can. You may need a Sponsor and you will need a US address, her Parents?
