Just telling you how it is. Search these forums for the daily "We just
got back from Florida and now we want to live there.. " brigade. Theres
plenty, and we havent yet heard back from anyone who managed it.

American is about the most difficult country to get to live in. A work
visa is essentially offered if you have a skill that an American
doesnt.. and generally a Masters degree or Ph.d is beneficial. Remember
that health insurance for your family can costs thousands and thousands
of dollars a year, and the process for getting a visa takes years too.

There are plenty of jobs out here - its just you arent eligible to apply
for any! An employer who sponsors you will have to pay thousands, and
again, why would he choose to when he get a local to do it?
