It's a very common treatment for Poly-Cystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS),
which can dramatically lower fertility.

I think you mean *increase* fertility, or lower INfertility!

Nemmind....I read it again. The PCOS lowers fertility, hence treatment
with Metformin can appear to increase fertility (perhaps "restore" would
be a better verb).
