Untrue..
I had symptoms only two months but in that time had a terrible gut ach and
pain in legs...now that im under control its alot less but still have the
leg pain.numbness.

I'm certainly not an expert, but I think that uncontrolled diabetes
results in neuropathy - I have none after 2 years 4 months.
