Based on stories around, I think it's more common to see a patient
diagnosed with type 2 after developing neuropathy. In your case, it
is possible that the neuropathy would have occured at that same
time without the drugs. I've never checked the PDR for the side
effects of all of the diabetes drugs (I looked up what was relevant
for me) so I don't know if any of the others could trigger pain.
