not only that, they do it very poorly

When I finally got insurance and went to see a doctor (internist) he kept
pushing me to use 70/30. Kept telling me how much easier it would be for
me. He also asked me if I'd rather try pills than taking shots. I didn't
stay with that doctor for long.

but i was now with endo #2 (my 3rd
great doc), and still pumping...

and of course he just was convinced that
he could help me with another insulin change

which lead to using Humalog (aka lispro),
for 9 months

mistake #4, and my 2nd serious one

what i learned from the short Humalog
experience is that these docs don't
have a clue about insulin; and that
they learn what little they think they
know, from what happens to us/me after
they switch me to it

Did you give up pumping due to lack of insurance or because it just wasn't
working for you? What was your problem with Humalog and the pump? It
sounds like you did benefit from pumping, using animal insulins so I'm
guessing it was a money issue.
