Now that we know that undiagnosed Cushing's syndrome is behind a lot of DM cases, that makes more sense. Chubby liver (which I find much cuter) is very common in Cushing's. And even if you find a doctor smart enough to test for it, if the Cushing's is in a low cycle, you're screwed unless you test on a high cortisol day.
