You don't know the history of Alan (and others) who want to deny Type
1's that disagree with them the opportunity of contributing anything
that isn't solely Type 1 related.

Hello boys and girls, today we're going to take a little field trip to
Ozgirlville, a mythical land where things are presented as the
objective truth but really aren't true at all. Stay close, it's easy
to get lost here...

Just in case he doesn't know, even though I know he does, I'll help him
along. It is not your contributions that  are a problem, it's the fact that
you interfere in any dietary discussions between type 2's. Yet you know
jack*** about the type 2 disease. You have never sat down to a >miserable
1/4 cup of oatmeal and watched your bg soar to ridiculous heights. You have
never had experience with insulin resistance. Yet you feel fully qualified
to jump down anyone's throat (and warn type 2 newbies of the extreme danger
of cutting down on starches but replacing them with highly nutritious
alternatives). Blind Freddy would know that you do this, repeatedly.

You're right, I don't know "jack***" about what it's like to be a
Type 2 but sometimes I wonder if you really do yourself. Since you
lead such a perfect life and never seem to have any problems, other
than telling everyone else how to live, then it seems that you don't
understand what someone who is not so allegedly proactive must go
through in dealing with this disease. The difference between you and I
is that I understand everyone is different. I have never told anyone
what to eat, the medications to take, or even how to deal with their
diabetes. All I ever do is recommend that they work with their doctor
to determine their particular needs and not to solely go by the advice
they get from amateurs on the Internet . You have a problem with that
because it disempowers you from your mission.

That is why you have this ridiculous notion that it is a type 1 versus type
2 thing all the time.

Not a ridiculous notion at all, you just have blinders on and are part
of the yapping vocal mob.

It's nothing to do with that. It's your persistence in
interfering with dietary stuff between type 2's when you have been shown ad
nauseum how one can get all the nutrition they need without the high >carbs.

And you have been shown ad nauseum that the average person might not
want to eat the way you do and that there may be alternatives
available to them.

Yet, Alan (and others) jump into
just about every conversation regardless fo what Type is being
discussed.

Define jumping into?

I think you know the definition of that. It's much clearer than what
"low carb" means.

People who are type 2's saying sorry mate

No one I know would say "sorry mate"...

we are not
type 1's but we'd like to commiserate with you because this is a support
group?

Yeah, that's exactly what you do. LOL Well, that and professing to
know all about Type 1 diabetes because one of your kid's friends has
it and they ate dinner at your house a couple of times.

The two Types have much in common, including the need to
see a medical professional.

And Alan is one of the first to say that.

No he's not. His first line of offense is to shove amateur links at a
newbie.

Are you now going to start adding
that little bit to your false accusations along with "no one advocates or
takes exercise seriously here"?

I've never said that no one advocates or takes exercise seriously
here, but very few seem to place much importance on it. It is
relegated to the bottom rung of the advice ladder here.

Kurt is the paragon yet again, you are just
so perfect.

Don't worry, on the "Perfect Pecking Order" you are still *** of the
walk.

Sadly people do read posts and do see you persistently carry on
with your false accusations.

With so many loud and shrill voices jumping on everything I say then I
think you can rest assured that your message is getting through as the
dominant one. I realize the O & A show doesn't like to ever hear a
dissenting opinion to their own and you do a great job of proving that
over and over. I'd even add that you are "Winning"!

Why don't you limit yourself
instead of being a pain where a pill won't reach.

Actually, I do limit myself and never give any kind of medical advice
to people.  Wish more would follow my example.

Discussing one's experiences with meds and diet is not medical advice. No
one is ever told to change their medications without speaking to their
doctor. On the other hand I've seen more type 1 insulin advice (yes advice)
in these groups than I have had hot dinners.

From the diet you describe eating that might not be a real good
analogy.

Kurt
