I went to an emergency preparedness seminar. One of the topics was

Can anyone recommend canned foods?

Ravioli is high on sodium but low on sugar.

Thanks

As Ozgirl noted, canned pasta (Ravioli, spaghetti, macaroni
etc) are all high in carbs. In any case I would store pastas
in dry form in an emergency store. Most grain products
usually keep better in dry rather than canned form - unless
the emergency is a flood.

I'd be looking at storing canned meats, fish, stews, and
vegetables (tomato, asparagus etc) plus possibly some hearty
soups (again, dried form may be better).

I used to have several month's supply of canned goods on my
shelves before diagnosis. These days I rarely use the
can-opener for anything other than fish or tomatoes.
