merits of generic statin drugs?
my doc recently got me to go
to using a generic Ace (enalapril)
Wal-Mart sells it (generic/Mylan)
for 30 pills @ $4
not bad and i don't get a cough,
which i did 6 years ago with
my brief use of Accupril
otoh, all this stuff (most oral
meds) have both an upside *and*
a downside as far as i know
my doc has also strongly suggested that
i use a generic statin to lower my mildly
high LDL? (i've got a great HDL/LDL ratio)
supposedly that some of the generic statins
are now decent
iow, are any of the generic statins
really worth using?
what are the downsides? (there
surely are some?)
all ears, bill t1 since '57
As long as they don't make you deaf Bill, you should be Ok, other than that,
you're well and truly buggered:-)
