Any thoughts?

Two weeks ago I had a colonoscopy and an endoscopy. I had these done
because I have been having episodes of diarrhea on and off for the past
six months, it all started when my GP gave me a "Z pack" antibiotic for
an infection.
I spoke to the doctor last week about the results and everything is
fine. They didn't find a thing for which I am happy but he has no idea
why I am having these episodes of diarrhea. I am diabetic, type II; he
thinks this may be the cause. I don't think that's the reason; I can't
say why but I just don't think it's the reason.
I have stomach pain and generally one dose of Imodium will check the
problem for 24 hours. I stopped eating all dairy products and don't
eat much bread or wheat products.
Anyone have any ideas or similar problems? The doctor I saw is written
up as one of the best gastroenterologist in the Washington DC metro
area so I don't know who to turn to.
Thanks for any and all thoughts, help, suggestions.
