Re: How do you know if you have a fatty liver?

First -- I'm a newbie to this group, so I might not truly understand
the group dynamics (don't you just love the big words)? Perhaps there
have been problems with SPAM from Protagonist and I'm just not aware of
it. His initial post on this thread didn't look as if he was selling
anything. Am I wrong?

That, however, doesn't change the fact that diabetic fatty liver
disease is a very real disease. I have been diagnosed with it, and my
MD as well as the Gastro guy have said that if I can't bring it under
control quickly, liver failure isn't fun.

Someone asked how you know. Yes, advanced fatty liver disease can
cause enlargement which your doctor can palpate. It many times also
causes changes in your blood chemistry (specifically the ALT lever)
which is an indicator.

I'll read some more.
