Many diabetics who keep tight control like to heep their A1c in the 5
range. Many others would be thrilled with a 6.2. My a1c has been in
the 5's for a few years, but until I went on a pump last year I was
having bad lows every day, driving my average down. Now it's still in
the 5's and my CDE keeps telling me it's too low (last was 5.6). She
says I should keep it around 6.

Every winter, my legs get dry & itchy but I can tell that they're dry.
It's not spots of dry skin, the whole lower leg is just very dry and
itchy. Lotions and creams that I've tried haven't done anything. THis
winter I bought yet another kind to try, made by Eucerin specifically
for dry, itchy skin and that made my legs feel even worse. I've
already scratched them to shreds. I've given up trying to relieve
them, and just try hard not to scratch.
