You're very welcome - I hope the info helped a bit.
After the surgery, your shoulder is very sore; trying to lie down is almost
impossible without causing some pretty serious pain. Everyone I know who's
had the surgery has slept in a sitting position for about two weeks.
A couch will work nicely if no recliner is available, and an ottoman or
hassock on which to put your feet up is a plus. Just cradle your head in a
comfortable pillow to keep it from lolling around while you sleep.
I know all of this must sound really horrible to you, but it's not that bad,
truly. Any inconvenience or discomfort is relatively short-term. It really
is worth it to have a tear fixed if it doesn't respond to physical therapy
or cortisone injections.
I'm sending out good thoughts to you, Kate. Hang in there!
Karen
