My religion has nothing to do with anything here. Your raising it
again merely reinformeces the fact that you are a bigot.

Whatever *reinformeces* is.

I am sorry your lexicon does not include that word.

The word you've entered isn't in the dictionary. Click on a spelling suggestion below or try again using the search bar above.

Actually, your being Jewish is relevant.

No, it is NOT relevant at all. I did not mention it in this thread,
and I do not cite my religion in this newsgroup to lend credence to
anything I post. Thus, it is irrelevant, except to bigots, such as
yourself.

You posted you read Torah everyday.

So what?

So it is very clear you do not. To honest people.

It is clear to honest people you do not.

Hones people defined as "Jan Drew".

Whatever *Hones* is.

Being a father and using such words is a very bad example.

My family has no relevance to this group. I leave your family out of
my postings. Leave mine completely out. THAT IS A WARNING!

LOLOLOL!!!!! How many warning does that make?
FACT: YOU have posted about your family. Further FACT, you just lied again.

I do not use the word, or allow it used in my homes.

That is nice. However, you do promote many forms of vulgarity.

And your proof of that is??

I challenge you to show us in Torah where it is the right thing to do to use
that word.

Look it up for yourself.

No, I challenged YOU.
Since you claim to read Torah everyday, it should be easy for you.

As for the passage you cite, you are being incredibly hypocritical, as
the advice there goes directly to you. Moreso than anyone else in this
newsgroup.

No it does not. I am not Jewish. It applies to you.
now, to show you just lied......................

have been a volunteer to get a counsellors job.

No, not mine. Josh turns 16 today and wants me to take him for his
driving
learners permit. I told him that he needs a good 1st quarter report
card for
this. He is not happy. (Good: C+'s or better, every major, all
homework done,
etc.)

He is also eligible for an increase in working hours, and wants the
5-10
shift at McDonald's.

We spent the weekend on the ocean, and Noah (11 on 8/8) hooked a 6-7'
white
shark. I helped him get it in. When we got it near the boat, we cut it
loose.

BTW, in the near future I will be posting a portion of a report that I
submitted to a client several months ago. We were retained to refute
the
medical examiner's cause of death determination and we were quite
successful.
Enough so, that a large insurance company paid seven figures on a
death claim
just six weeks after the policy inception date.

Gotta run...have fun...post to y'all later....

Well, we wnet to "Meet the Teacher Night" last night. Josh is doing
90% of
his homework (up from 0% in the seventh and eighth grades). He's
running
around an 85 in each course.

His school is small, only 66 students. The teachers teach more than
one
subject. He has one teacher for Spanish and Earth Science. Another for
English, Math and Social Studies. Separate art (he is bussed to New
York
Tech because all his art is in the computer graphics program).

We were very happy with the results. An amazing turn around in just
six weeks.

As we got into the car, my wife turns to me, and says:

"Know why he is doing so well? Those two teachers are 'babes'.
It's
his hormones.

I did not argue.

G-d's Justice System

When we judge others, we are setting our own personal justice system. If I am constantly finding fault and criticizing others, I send a message to G-d. Shortcomings should be noticed and highlighted; there's no room for mercy and tolerance. And G-d allows us to fashion the very justice system with which He views us. If we see only the bad in others, we bring upon ourselves the very judgment we, in our minds, visit upon others daily.

http://www.yeshiva.org.il/midrash/shiur.asp?id=338

In the next portion of the midrash, the sages teach that it is fitting for people to speak in clean, appropriate language:"

The words of Hashem are pure'...In the Torah, God chose to write eight extra words in order to avoid using terminology which was not 100% 'clean. In the Book of Bereishit, for instance, Noach is told to choose for the ark from among 'the pure cattle and from the cattle that is not pure...' [- instead of referring to the latter group using the Hebrew term for ritually impure beasts, "Tameh." ] In disqualifying the rabbit as a pure animal, the Torah does not say that the impurity derives from the fact that the rabbit does not have split hooves, [though this is true] but rather that the rabbit is impure because it [only] chews its cud. (Vaykira 11)" The clear message of the midrash: when unpleasant things are uttered, they must be expressed in the cleanest, most honorable manner possible.

When we talk about being careful about speech, we're talking about two different issues. What to say, and how to say it.

First of all, it is important not to say things that need not be said. When something is in need of being said, it should be expressed using clean, appropriate language. I've mentioned on several occasions that Rav Tzvi Yehuda Kook (of blessed memory) was very cautious with his words, always carefully weighing what he had to say before he said it. He would never say things in the negative, but would always couch his ideas in positive terms.
