DTC Direct to Consumer Advertising Question by Jeffrey Dach



29 special interest groups have requested a ban on DTC consumer drug
ads. The US and New Zealand are the only two western industrialized
countries to allow DTC drug ads. Are we well served by the
information in DTC drug ads, or is there a problem? If there is a
problem with the content of the ads, would more oversight and
regulation be suffficient, or would the rather draconian step of a
complete ban be required as Dr Kurt Stange suggests in his article,
fom Annals of Family Medicine, Time to Ban Direct-to-Consumer
Prescription Drug Marketing
