Dyshidrosis (opinion on treatment) ??

Dyshidrosis is a skin condition of the hands and feet. It has been
recommended that I check out taking Sodium Chlorite internally.
From what I've read Sodium Chlorite is used as a disinfectant to treatwater supplies, swimming pools, etc. When mixed with something citric
it turns into Chlorine Dioxide gas and that has an effect on only the
'bad' stuff in water.
I guess the theory is that the body is 70% water and taking Sodium
Chlorite will disinfect a person's insides. The Chloine Dioxide is
flushed from the body and is only 'active' for a couple of hours...and
not supposed to harm healthy tissue.
One concern is the 'warning' about not breathing the gas fumes after
mixing with a citric. The internal recommendation is to mix a few
drops with lemon juice (citric) and drink it (goes into the stomach,
which is also citric). One anedotal report mentioned 'nausea' as a
side effect.
I would appreciate learning more about this 'treatment'.... it's
safety or harmfulness.
