By what method can diamond and graphite be interchanged in
microseconds?

I believe Dr. Rustum said "milliseconds".  And since
he is the expert, why the hell don't you email him
and ask him?   Whoops! NO, you can't do that
because you've already "discredited" him.

It can't be done in milliseconds, so why ask the fool?

But, if you've got more than a little clever one line
sentence casting doubt on his theories, then post
it, I'm sure we'd all like to view your "refutations".

Refutation is simple. Go to a high school. Ask a science teacher
whether carbon can be converted between diamond and graphite (and vice
versa) in milliseconds. Listen carefully to the answer.

When someone utters idiocy, as Dr Roy does, there is no need for more
than a one line refutation.

So you A PRIORI discredit him and then conclude there is NO need for
a refutation. A masterpiece of circular reasoning.

You obviously do not know what "a priori" means. The man said
something extremely stupid which suggests that he is either lying or
deranged. Induction is not a priori.

On the matter of the conversion from graphite to diamond,
now that one I'm not sure of. I know that under high temperature
and high pressure the graphite will convert but how long and in what
quantities, I will need to do some reading.

Do that. Then read again where Dr Roy suggests that it is a very
simple process. You might like to see if you can find out how to
convert diamond to graphite. (Hint - you might be able to burn the
diamond in an oxygen-deficient atmosphere and collect some soot, but
that won't be graphite and it won't be 100% of the carbon in the
diamond. You will also need a large diamond. I suggest the Cullinan,
but you will need to ask permission from the owner. I am not a liberty
to confirm this, but she is rumoured to be a high official in the
Illuminati.)

I'm also not entirely sure of the intent and applicability of that
analogy with the water memory question and will do some
more thinking on that.

It has no relationship to the "memory of water", and was introduced by
Dr Roy as a non sequitur to confuse people who might not know much
chemistry. Even if what he said were true it would have no relevance
to homeopathy, because the crystalline structures of diamond and
graphite are well known and are not containers of information about
anything other than how carbon atoms form bonds with each other. He
might as well have used ethane and methane.

Last but not least, how dare you insinuate that I have his name
backwards...Dr Rust... er... Oh, Dr. Rustum Roy...
I DID have it backwards.

An easy mistake to make. I've met a lot of people with the first name
Roy, but never anyone called Rustum. It was Jan I was having a go at
anyway, not you.
