Statin Drug Lowers CoQ10 by 22% in 12 weeks!

CoQ10 converts food into ATP, the heart's main energy source. Statin
drugs reduce the level of CoQ10 in the heart and other muscles. For
instance, JAMA published a study on Simvastatin which showed that 20
milligrams a day reduced CoQ10 levels by an average of 22% in just 12
weeks.
Elderly people have already got 40% less CoQ10 than the average young
adult. By reducing a person's CoQ10 by 62%, that person is likely to
have some real problems.
Is it any wonder then, that the inserts of statin drugs will tell you
that it has NOT been established that lowering cholesterol with
statins help prevent heart attacks or deaths by heart attacks.
In Canada, the inserts reveal that "significant" reductions in CoQ10
have been observed when statins are taken.
It's estimated that 39 million Americans (13% of the population) will
soon be taking statins. This has all the earmarks of a medical
disaster in the making.
If we continue with this type of insanity, it's only a matter of time
before the US collapses from within due to widespread increases in
morbidity and mortality.
