Has anyone else noticed getting a sore throat or tonsils
or whatever right after getting your teeth cleaned?

That's a well known possibility after dental work.
I had two wisdom teeth removed a few months ago,
and suffered an very persistent low-level sore throat.
It took several weeks to clear up. It was never
as bad as the sore throat that accompanies a cold,
but it sure took a whole lot longer to go away.

At the time of the dental work, I was given
a prescription for antibiotics, which I took,
but that did not stop it from happening.

More recently, I've had a full mouth debridement
and deep root planing (a very intense form of
tooth cleaning). In this case, I was given
a liquid antibiotic to swish around my mouth
for 30 seconds. So far, that seems to have been
effective, however the amount of bacteria released
may have been much smaller.

Thanks for your reply, Mark.

So far, from what people are saying, it appears that the duration of
this infection is often quite long. Some people have noted that it
took
them months to recover, or they are still being effected by it
months
later. Oh joy!

Dental cleanings were always benign events...at least I thought so.
And
if you don't get them, the same type of problem can occur anyway.

Right now, I'm hitting it with an array of natural products that are
at
least making the congestion watery...but the infection is far from
being eliminated. In technical terms, I feel like crap.

What "I" would do.

Get some oil of Oregano (60-70% carvacrol), (don't bother with the
cheap
stuff, cheap stuff, 30-40%) put 7 drops in a 1/4 shot glass of water.
dump
it in your mouth, swish it in the teeth, gargle, swallow.

It is STRONG.
You will see a major difference the first day.
Morning noon and bedtime.

Thanks, Vernon.

I used to have a bottle of Oregano, but recently ran out. It is
definitely super strong. One drop is all I can deal with. You are a
brave man, indeed, to swish 7 drops at one time.

Since I'm out and not up to going out, I'm using organic grapefruit
seed extract along with several other things. It is also really potent,
but doesn't hold a candle to oregano oil.

Other things being used:
sniffing rosemary oil
sea weed capsules (to promote alkalinity)
Lemon juice also is a tremendous aid to increase alkakinity.

vitamin C
If I were in your shoes, It would be on about 2 Grams, four times a day

lots of water
Alkalol
George's aloe vera
arginine
Maitake mushroom

These things are keeping the congestion moving out, but the source
seems to be endless.

One drop of oil of oregano is about as bad as it gets. You probably
wouldn't notice the difference. It is ALSO a decongestant.
Did you take it in water?

Oh! I forgot one psychosomatic sure cure. Punch out the dentist.

A funny story. (true)
I was in a health food shop and a lady came in and asked the clerk if he
knew of a cure for terrible migraines, which she had at that moment. She
had tried everything including prescription drugs which practically put
her
out.
I asked the clerk if they had a sample bottle of oil of oregano, he said
yes.
I told the lady to hold out her finger and I was going to put one drop on
the tip of her finger.
I told her to wipe it under her tongue and leave the oil there for 30
seconds. I warned her and warned her how strong it was.
She did it and immediately screamed at me saying I was sadistic and
wanted
some water. I told her that by the time someone went to get water and
brought it back the sting would be gone. She turned and stormed for the
front door. She reached the front door, spun around and came back saying
she wanted two bottles. The migraine was gone and she almost didn't
remember how good it felt to be COMPLETELY free, and especially that
fast.

That's a great story! May I put it on my blog?

No problem as long as it isn't inferred that it is a sure fire silver
bullet.
The reason it works quit often is the sudden expansion of the blood to the
brain. Migraines are often just restriction caused by a myriad of things.
They are real and horrific.
