It's recently been brought to my attention that I have some body odor.
I had heard a few kids say this 10 years ago when I was in school but I
thought they were just being mean. So I guess this body odor has been
going on for quite a while.

I of course cannot smell this odor so I can't tell what it is. One day,
I took a shower, applied anti-perspirant, put on clean clothes and went
to a small family gathering. This is where a close relative discreetly
brought my body odor to my attention.

What would be causing my body odor? I suspect the smell is coming from
my private region. I don't have any STDs or medical problems that would
cause that area to be smelly. The only things I can think of are that I
have anxiety problems and GERD. Other than that I have no ideas.

I don't know if maybe I should try using scented body sprays or use
deodorant around my private region. I find this very disturbing as I
already have problems with self-conciousness.

I knew someone, once, who smelled like vinegar all the time, even shortly
after bathing, though maybe it wasn't 'vinegar', that is just how *I*
interpreted the odor.
I don't know if there is anything that can be done about acidic sweat. It
seems that diligent bathing, etc did not help him at all and the odor
continued.
Another seemed to have an odor about him on occasion that was similar to
sulfur.
He went to a doctor about it and was told he had ulcers and it was causing
the odor from his breath. After he was treated for the ulcers the odor
disappeared.
It's really untelling what could cause body odor with someone who does bath
regularly.
Many people do not know this, but yeast does not alwasy leave the clothing
when it's washed.
'Yeast' means yeast infections such as jock itch, and feminine infections,
as well as athlete's foot.
If those bacteria continue to thrive in the clothing after the infection is
gone then it will cause an odor.
Bacteria in shoes can also continue to thrive, and I would suggest putting
them in a freezer for a few days to kill off any 'stinky' bacteria.
Hope you find something that helps.
